UUM's Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah, who is performing the duties of Vice-Chancellor, expressed gratitude that UUM continued to make strides when it successfully positioned in the international rankings for Business and Economics subjects.

According to him, the success achieved was the result of the commitment and determination of UUM denizens, especially the Deans and the faculty members at the schools involved, namely the School of Business Management (SBM), Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz School of Accountancy (TISSA), School of Economics, Finance and Banking ( SEFB), Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Islamic Business School (IBS), School of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management (STHEM), School of International Studies (SOIS) and School of Technology Management and Logistics (STML).

He stated that the leap in the subject of Business and Economics indicated the strength and potential of UUM to continue competing competitively on the global stage in THE World University Rankings. "Besides that, the position will contribute to students' decisions to continue their studies at UUM when we are on the right track by highlighting the high quality of the programmes offered. "I hope that this accomplishment can be strengthened further to ensure that the UUM brand continues to stand out on the global stage and that the aim of being the Eminent Management University is accomplished," he said.

At the same time, he congratulated the Dean and faculty of the School of Education (SOE), the School of Multimedia Technology and Communication (SMMTC), the School of Applied Psychology, Policy, and Social Work (SAPSP), the School of Government (SOG), and the School of International Studies (SOIS) on their success in maintaining their position in the THE World University Rankings by Subject 2022 for Education and Social Sciences. UUM, in particular, maintained its previous year's standing in both courses, at the 301-400 and 401-500 bands for both the subjects.

Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman stated that success was a collaborative effort involving numerous stakeholders, including instructors, administrative and support personnel, students, and the Ministry of Higher Education.
